After The Bell- Parent Guidelines

After the Bell Guidelines

Prior to registering your child for the After the Bell Program, you must read and agree to the following guidelines
  • PTA Membership

PTA Membership is recommended for participation in After The Bell Programs. ATB is a volunteer program. Please indicate your active membership by checking the box on the registration form.
  • Student Participation

Students must be able to participate in After the Bell programs independently. In order for all students to have a positive experience, if there are discipline or behavior issues involving a student, the After the Bell instructor will notify the child's parents. If the unacceptable behavior continues, the student will not be permitted to complete the course and there will be no refunds available.
  • Registration

Classes will be filled in the order in which registrations are received. Space is limited. If we cannot meet the minimum amount of students required for each class, the class will be canceled and your payment will be returned. No registration will be accepted without payment. There will be no refunds after the registration date deadline.
  • Change of Dismissal

All after school classes begin at 3:30 but end at various times (some workshops will begin at 1:40 pm) Please check the times for your child’s specific class. Children must be picked up after class at the school by a parent on time – late pickups are grounds for withdrawal from the class. A change of dismissal note must accompany your child each day the program meets. Morning classes do not require a note as children will be dismissed to their homerooms.
  • Allergies

Please note that there is no nurse on premises and instructors/volunteers are not first-aid certified. If your child has a medical condition or requires an epi-pen, please call the instructor prior to registering to discuss whether you will need to attend class with your child. Please make note of your child's allergies on the registration form.
  • Parent Volunteer

Parent volunteers are required for all classes/workshops for insurance purposes and to ensure the children's safety. Volunteer responsibilities include making sure all class participants are accounted for, taking children to the bathrooms as needed, assisting the instructor if necessary, and child dismissal at the end of class. Classes will not be offered unless a parent volunteer is on site during each program. Any class without a parent volunteer will be cancelled and no refunds will be given. Programs may offer reduced/waived tuition for the child of the parent volunteer.
